I am writing to you as an individual, I can confirm that I am happy for my name to be published and that none of this submission needs to be treated as confidential.
Given the already excessive representation in the Senedd and the cost associated with it I am absolutely against this reform bill being passed. It will add more members and cost to the Senedd whilst removing electoral transparency. If this bill is implemented it will mark the end of democracy in Wales.
The Welsh NHS is failing as is the ambulance service. Our roads are in a disgraceful condition and councils are overspent. The Welsh Government has a £900 million black hole and is asking public sector organisations for cost savings. Yet it proposes to push ahead with electoral reforms that will cost millions. This cannot be right. The money that funds the Senedd comes from hard working taxpayers and should be put to use improving public services and the Welsh economy, not on yet another vanity project.
Yours,
Susan Faull
